It was a wonderful experience to play in the NFL, and I have no regrets. I truly will miss playing for the Lions. I consider the Lions' players, coaches, staff, management and fans my family. I leave on good terms with everyone in the organization.

Let's just win it and go home.

I want to thank all of the fans and media who made playing in the NFL such a wonderful experience. I have had the pleasure of meeting many of them.

I wish my teammates, coaches and the entire Lions organization all the best.

I quit because I didn't feel like the Detroit Lions had a chance to win. It just killed my enjoyment of the game.

Shortly after the end of last season, I felt that I probably would not return for the 1999-2000 season. I also felt that I should take as much time as possible to sort through my feelings and make sure that my feelings were backed with conviction.

My desire to exit the game is greater than my desire to remain in it. I have searched my heart through and through and feel comfortable with this decision.

I have enjoyed playing for two great head coaches, Wayne Fontes and Bobby Ross, who are good coaches and leaders. I am not involved in a salary dispute of any kind. If I had played this season, I would have earned a more than satisfactory salary.

I had the fortune to be drafted to a wonderful city. I fit in there perfectly... because... when you're drafted, you never know where you're going to end up-but there was no better place for me than Detroit.

We will pursue this with an Olympic determination to succeed.

To me, he has his own style. He doesn't remind me any more of myself than I did (other tailbacks). I did things to remind people of Tony Dorsett, but it was a different style. He's a guy who can catch balls like Marshall Faulk or somebody like that.

That's one of those runs that definitely caught me off guard. That's one of those that brings you out of your seat. What I always understood about running is that a lot of it had to do with vision and reaction and responding to what you see. He is an uncommon threat.

We again will be able to host great games without any cost to local taxpayers. We also promise a bid that will be distinctive in its approach compared to previous games.

The game is the ultimate significance to me because it is so important to a lot of people. It has left a mark on our culture to be voted as one of the best to ever play.

We want the USOC (U.S. Olympic Committee) to know we are eager to bring the Games back to Los Angeles,

For the entire world, Los Angeles is a city of dreams,

We never considered a brand new stadium.

I was always conscious of the fact that I didn't make it to a Super Bowl, but it hits me even more now because the game is in Detroit. You feel the impact more.

It's a reality of the game. Coming into the NFL, my assumption was that this is the NFL and, naturally, I'll get to the Super Bowl because all you have to do is win three games in the playoffs. That was a mistake I made, because I later found out how tough it was.

We want to involve the entire community in this process. We are looking at ways we can work with the schools to begin programs to involve students.
