Maybe I have a certain amount of smarts to say yes because I don't care if I'm not going to make any money because I love the part.

Holly Hunter has been doing great work forever.

I'm still traumatized that I'm going to be on a big screen in a white bikini and naked so who knows!

It's like going to someone's country home in the middle of the city.

I am going out with some of those search-and-rescues today,

It's maybe a little sweeter now. Maybe it's a little easier now because I have a life and I hopefully am more secure in mind and body and spirit.

I have to watch the news or my day is not complete.

Well did graduate summa cum laude from Fordham University.

I don't like a lot of rehearsing.

No, in high school I was kind of like a cheerleader. I was a Chargerette.

See, the SAG awards caught me totally by surprise.

I think I am monumentally lucky but I do have the good fortune to have these great young directors offering me parts in their scripts.

The majority of work I do is in independent films, where you're lucky if you have five takes.

I'm obsessed. I've always needed to know what's going on but now it's a must.

And I have a really great agent and I know it's almost an oxymoron to say you have a smart agent. But she is and she has a beautiful aesthetic and she has guided me.

But I have had the luxury of working on good films with great people.

My major was liberal arts, but I studied a lot of theater, Fordham had an amazing theater program - really comprehensive.

And there were many parts I didn't get. I was always kind of grasping at things.

And it's not that I haven't taken a money job here and there but for the most part I have been driven by the need to work on a great script.

I always try to approach character first and foremost viscerally.
