It ought to make camp a little easier, at least from a logistics standpoint. We just have to make sure we don't let our concentration stray and think about that pool too much.

Coach (Jim) Mora told us he didn't know we are. He was right. It was not a representative effort of what we pride ourselves in as a team.

His name was getting announced all the time over the loudspeaker. He was going sideline to sideline making plays, making vicious hits. Every time I watched the Ravens after that, I couldn't help but watch him.

We finally got the gang back together. It was important for us to play together for a little bit leading into the regular season. We were practicing all week together as a unit, and I think that was good for us. We're looking to raise it up another level heading into next week.

It just makes [a defense] lose confidence. It's like somebody pokes a hole in your heart and the blood just keeps running out. It's awful.

We didn't do a good job getting to the quarterback. It's our responsibility to get there in three or four seconds. We can't put that much pressure on our defensive backs.

[Jones is] the best tackle in the game, hands down. A lot of offensive tackles are good at one thing, like pass protection. But what makes him better than anyone else is you've got to bring your 'A' game against his run-blocking, too. He has no weaknesses. You've got to bring it every snap against him.

The second half we played like us. The first half, it was a bunch of strangers [out there].

He certainly was making some incredible passes today. When you hit a guy square on his shirt and he's still hitting the receiver, it's frustrating.

[Horn] and I exchanged words right from the first series. He was mad at me for calling him an idiot, but he disrespected our whole team and I told him that. I didn't take it back or anything. I'm still standing by it.

It's always been an honor to play with that guy.

Rod's as deserving as any player in the league. He's the one player who came in here and elevated our defense across the board.

The hardest thing about getting to Brady is his quick release. We wanted to pressure him, but you can't sack the quarterback when he doesn't have the ball. He did a good job of getting rid of it.

I've played a lot of right end in my career and you have to be ready when a guy goes down. There are no excuses. You have to be able to make adjustments as a player and as a team.

Those guys, they work in a short space, so they're more quick-footed guys rather than having straight-out speed. But yeah, to be that big and still move and change direction the way they do, that's what makes them special. Otherwise, every 340-pound man in American would come out to play football.

When you have a performance like that, people might say, 'Uh-oh. Maybe that's our defense. Maybe what's happened up to this point has been a fluke,' ... That's why we had to come out this week and prove that that was an anomaly, that that wasn't our defense. We came out here and showed that today. We showed the way we can play against a great offense.

It's sort of shocking, really. Going 9-7 and not making the playoffs doesn't really interest me, but we still want to win next week. We can still have a say in what happens in the NFL.

Mike wants to be that much more lethal by making himself a great throwing quarterback,

We definitely still have something to prove on the road, because we've not played nearly as well on the road as we have at home, ... We've got to rise up and challenge ourselves to play better on the road.

He's the best tackle in the game, hands down. The thing that makes him better than anyone else is that he isn't just a great pass blocker. You've got to bring your A-game against his run blocking, too. He's everything you look for in a tackle.
